NEWS RELEASE

CBI Announces Funding Agreement with NB CBDCs

St. Andrews, NB – June 14, 2017 – CBI Business Transitions (CBI) is pleased to announce an agreement with the CBDC Network in New Brunswick which will assist business owners in non-urban areas of the province with the transitioning of their businesses.  Many business owners often think about how and when they will leave their business, but often do not have the time, the money or other resources to really put a plan in place.  Now with funding assistance through the CBDC Network, business owners can more readily take advantage of one of CBI’s services, called Exit Prep.
CBI’s Exit Prep Process helps owners identify their needs and goals for the future, select the most appropriate exit option, establish a market price for their business and complete an owner’s due diligence process aimed at removing obstacles that may prevent the sale of their business.  “And now, CBDC will cover 75% of the cost”, says Stewart Baker, President of CBI.  “Having these steps taken and documented reduces business owners’ anxiety about the future by providing them with a plan for moving forward in their decision making about how and when they wish to exit their business.”

Based in St. Andrews, New Brunswick with offices in Saint John, Moncton and Halifax, CBI is the region’s specialist in ownership transitions of privately held businesses.  Since 1998, CBI has assisted business owners in the preparation of their businesses for sale or other transition and has worked with buyers to ensure that they buy the right business on the right terms.  CBI has managed the purchase and/or sale of businesses ranging from $150K to over $10M to qualified individuals, companies and private equity investors.
